Many of our kits come with 3 additional dotting tools along with a single placement stylus.
The extra tools are the:
Straightener
3 dotz multiplacer tool
6 dotz multiplacer tool
These tools are designed to fit into the open end of the included stylus.
The straightener is used to straighten rows while working on your kit. It is also useful to straighten the outer edge of your completed piece.
The multiplacer tools allow you to place 3 or 6 dotz at one time and are used when filling in large areas of solid colors.
Here's how to use the multiplacer tools:
Fill the tool with wax. You can do this in two different ways.
1. Place your wax on a solid surface and press the multiplacer down into the wax to fill. Like a cookie cutter, you need to press down until the multiplacer tool touches the solid surface to fill the tool properly.
2. Soften a small piece of wax with your fingers and roll into the length of the muliplacer tool you are using. Press into the opening to fill, removing excess wax from around the edge.
Now that the tool has wax, you can pick up multiple dotz at one time.
Pour some of your dotz into included tray. Shimmy the tray so that the dotz are flat side down and lined up in the grooves. Make sure the dotz are lined up close to each other as this affects spacing.
Lower the tool onto the dotz to pick up 3 or 6 dotz and place on the canvas as you would with a single placer stylus.
As you work, make sure the spacing is consistent and matches the spacing of dotz on your canvas.
